This press release shows you where I will be on 10th March.
‘Motherwell CIC are pleased to announce that they are co-hosting Crewe Women’s Day on Thursday 10th March with Crewe Town Council and MMU. The Keynote speaker for the day is Elaine Hanzak, author of ‘Eyes Without Sparkle’ and ‘Another Twinkle in the Eye’, detailing her and other mothers’ experiences of Postnatal Depression. The day is a celebration of women and as such the invitation has been extended to all local services which provide support for women to attend. Local female business owners will also be in attendance and everyone is welcome to join in with the celebration taking place at Crewe Library and One to One Midwives, where Motherwell run their Postnatal Support Group on Fridays.
Motherwell CIC is based in Crewe and is a service provided for women by women, promoting positive health and wellbeing by offering a range of educational services, holistic therapies and mental health support. The Postnatal Support Group will be officially launched at the event and Elaine Hanzak will be signing copies of her books. Motherwell are also showcasing their ‘Mums the Word’ project, an intergenerational history exhibition about the changing role of mums in Crewe that has been running during 2016.
One of Motherwell’s founders, Kate Blakemore, said, “We are really excited that Elaine Hanzak is able to attend our event. Her story of triumphing over Postnatal Depression is very inspiring for any mums who are currently dealing with this. We want to make sure that no one in this situation feels isolated and would encourage them to access support through our group and one to one counselling services.”
