The general advice given by GPs to those of us suffering with #longhaul Covid-19 is to rest and pace yourself. This can be frustrating when you want to ‘get back to normal’ even though it is will be a new normal.

Good nutrition and exercise are also encouraged. When your motivation is at an all-time-low and the most movement you have done for months is from your bed to bathroom to sofa on repeat, they are more things to add to your feelings of being overwhelmed and ‘everything is too much’.

I have found a way that has helped my partner and I to emerge from the fog – all through entering and winning a competition in Cheshire Life magazine.

With just an hour to the closing deadline on 31st May, I entered:

I am still finding that writing is a challenge – at some point I hope to explain more about our recovery (my partner and I became unwell on the same day).
