In response to the BBC Three documentary being aired on Tuesday looking at teenage postnatal depression with Stacey Solomon, BBC Radio Birmingham asked me to speak on their programme.

The presenter was Richard Wilford on the Sunday show from 7 – 9 a.m. I spoke at around 8.40. a.m. I did get up and have a cup of tea first – I didn’t want to sound like I had just woken up! The sun was shining brightly through my window and inspired me even more to get moving. Aren’t the lighter mornings wonderful?

They also interviewed another Mum who blogs about postnatal depression called Angeline Brunel. See her blog here.

Just before I spoke they also interviewed the lady who was involved in Stacey’s care, Dr. Amanda Jones. See her article here.  The reseacher had asked me to talk about my experiences and what has happened to me as a result. I made a conscious effort to sound upbeat to show that you can recover from postnatal depression.
