Well done to a ‘Father for reaching out’ about postnatal illness

Often society associates postnatal depression just with the mother, yet in reality it affects the father, baby, siblings, other family members, friends and employers. I am delighted that one father is being recognised for the continuing work he does to raise the awareness of the illness.

Mark Williams contacted me a few months ago through the expert resource Greatvine. We chatted about our respective impact from postnatal illness and now the efforts we make to help others affected by it.

I was delighted to hear that he has been nominated for a Pride of Britain award.

Mark is also organising a Postnatal Depression Awareness and Wellbeing Day on the 22nd November, at the Hi Tide Porthcawl between 10-4pm.
