Would you agree that books are amazing? Even in this day of growing technology, the ‘power’ of a good read is something that we all gain from at any age. In my own family my 8-year-old niece loves her reading e.g.  David Walliam stories. My father helps his brain to stay active through reading novels by writers such as David Baldacci. I’d like to share with you today some news of three new books, one of which needs your help:

1. My friend Paul McGee  @TheSumoGuy launched his latest book last week raising £650 for the charity Mind. The title of his latest book is ‘How to Have a Great Life: 35 Surprisingly Simple Ways to Success, Fulfilment and Happiness’. Paul has made an incredible life for himself and his family in addition to inspiring others through his wisdom and experiences. Many congratulations Paul!

2. I am so excited that another of my friends and colleagues, Mark Williams, finally has his much-awaited book, ‘Daddy Blues’, published this week. I remember my first phone call with Mark, about 6 years ago, just as he was starting out in wanting to talk about his journey of depression following the birth of his son. Since then we have spoken together at many events…and more to come. I know how passionate he has been about sharing his journey to help others. This is a huge milestone and I am so pleased for him. Please take a look at his new website. I hope that being a ‘published author’ will help him to help other fathers for many years to come.

3. I am very pleased to be involved in a new book with Chrisoula Sirigou and others, that needs YOUR help to get off the ground please! Here are the details:

Having written two books, I am well aware of all the hard work and hours of dedication that goes into them. I understand the self-doubting moments and then the incredible feeling of  at last holding that first printed copy in your hands.
