‘Warning over ‘shocking gaps’ in mental health services for new mothers
More than 40% of English health board areas have no support team for postnatal depression and other conditions, say doctors’.
There were many areas of the media who also featured the report, on local radio and national television.

Sadly Elaine, even where there are specialist units available, they are often full. This was my experience so I was separated from my daughter
Dear Elaine
Your blog above is brilliant, everything you have said is so true about the embarrassing postcode lottery and the feelings you hsve captured for my family. Harrison’s birthday is particularly hard. He looks so innocent and deserves his mummy. Christmas will never be the same again as there is such a void ay Emmas favourite time of the year and because Emma died so close to Christmas.
I wonder if anyone would like to sign my petition – link above and overwhelming support so far! So easy to click through and help make us get to 10,000 signatures and deliver this to Dan Poulter.
Kind regards ,
Lucie

Elaine, this is great. It was so inspiring to be involved in the MMHA Everyone’s Business launch. Please let me know when the You Tube links are available, as I would like to add them to my website – see http://www.andrewmayers.info/perinatal-mental-health.html. You can hear the two BBC Radio interviews I gave on that page too, along with the work that I am doing to help get better services
